Hosted by Of Sea and Pine, Maine Vacation Rentals, The Royal River Retreat is a luxury home rental located in desirable Yarmouth, Maine. Featured in Maine Home and Design Magazine for its architectural prowess, this home provides the highest quality amenities and privacy, with abounding nature just outside your doorstep. This modern, solar powered oasis, boasts 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, multiple inside and outside entertainment spaces, including a *salt water pool, outdoor shower and expansive deck. The main floor offers a chef’s kitchen, dining area, and a living room complete with a wet bar and cozy seating area. The expansive views allow you to fully immerse yourself in the peacefulness of the 12- wooded acres surrounding the home, and include views of the Royal River.

Once you feel recharged and ready to explore, the village of Yarmouth is just a mile away. Located on the coast of Casco Bay, Yarmouth includes the island communities of Cousins Island and Little John’s Island and has two full-service marinas along the Royal River. Take a stroll down the charming Main Street and surrounding neighborhoods to admire classic historic homes and locally owned shops and businesses. Looking for a bite to eat? Yarmouth has multiple options for breakfast, lunch and dinner including the Royal River Grill House, Gather and Brickyard Hollow Brewing Company. For a wider array of options, the city of Portland is just 15 minutes south and has an abundance of restaurants as well as museums & galleries, shopping and entertainment. Freeport (home to L.L. Bean) is only 15 minutes north and has additional shopping and restaurants.

If you’re looking for casual hiking options (many allow dogs on the trail), Yarmouth has multiple parks and trails systems, including Little John Island Preserve, Pratt’s Brook Park and the ‘jewel’ of the Yarmouth park system, the Royal River Park. There are also multiple sandy beaches & additional nature preserves within a 30-minute drive of Yarmouth. A complete guidebook will be provided with suggestions for area attractions.

Home Layout: The primary bedroom with king size bed and large ensuite is located on the first floor. There is also a half bathroom and an additional full bathroom for after *pool use on the first floor. For your convenience, a laundry room is located on the first floor. The second floor has two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom, with a soaking tub. On the basement level there is an entertainment space, complete with ping pong table.

Getting Around: Despite its peaceful and remote feel, The Royal River Sanctuary is only 6 minutes from the highway, and 3 minutes to downtown Yarmouth. The home is well situated to explore southern and mid coast Maine.

Host: Daneel and her pup, Sola will be your primary hosts while you are guests at The Royal River Retreat!

*The salt water pool & accompanying bathroom is only open late spring until mid-fall
Guests are allowed up to two (2) dogs. Additional $100 pet fee will be applied.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: Ninety-seven percent (97.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
